Device Requirements

GapFix keeps this simple: it runs on iPhone with iOS 18.0 or later. That's the whole requirement.

The one rule

If your iPhone runs iOS 18, GapFix runs on it. That's iPhone XS, XR, SE (2nd generation) and every iPhone since. You can check your current version in Settings › General › About; if it's older than 18.0, install the latest update and you're set.

GapFix fully supports the latest iOS releases too, including iOS 26 and iOS 27.

Platform by platform

  • iPhone — yes. Native app, built for one-handed daily lessons. Widgets included.
  • iPad — not yet. The iPad version arrives at the end of December 2026.
  • Android — not yet. The Android app arrives at the end of November 2026; your account syncs over when it lands.
  • Web browser — no. GapFix is a native mobile app; there's no web version.
  • Apple Watch — no watch app. The lock-screen widgets are the closest glance-and-go option.

Connectivity

You'll need an internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular) for most of GapFix: generating your 12-week plan, loading lessons and Boosters, read-aloud in the natural voice, and syncing progress. Offline, Listen uses your iPhone's built-in voice instead. A full offline mode is coming soon.

Accounts and multiple devices

GapFix starts anonymously — no account needed on a single device. To use GapFix on more than one device, sign in with Apple, Google, LinkedIn, or email so your plan, streaks, XP, and progress sync between them.

Widgets

The home-screen Streak and Progress widgets and the lock-screen widgets ship with the app on iOS 18.0 or later — no extra requirements.

Meeting the requirements but having trouble?

If your device runs iOS 18.0 or later and GapFix still feels slow or unstable, the App Performance Issues article walks through the fixes — and support@tickets.samgit.com is always open.
