Reporting Bugs
GapFix is new and improving quickly, and bug reports from real users genuinely shape what gets fixed next. If something's broken, we want to hear about it — here's how to report it so it gets fixed fast.
Where to send it
Email support@tickets.samgit.com. That's the one place for bug reports, and a real person reads every message and replies within 24 hours, usually much sooner.
Quick checks before you report
Two minutes here can save a round-trip:
- Update GapFix from the App Store and update iOS — the bug may already be fixed.
- Force close the app and reopen it.
- Restart your device.
If the problem survives all three, it's report-worthy.
What makes a great bug report
- A clear subject line. "Streak widget stuck on yesterday's count" beats "app broken" every time.
- Steps to reproduce, numbered. What did you tap, in what order, starting from where?
- What you expected vs. what actually happened.
- Your device model and iOS version.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you can grab one. This is often the single most useful thing you can send.
- When it started — after a GapFix update, after an iOS update, or out of nowhere?
Example:
> Subject: Daily Practice won't open from the lock-screen widget > > 1. Tap the GapFix circular widget on the lock screen > 2. App opens to the Home tab instead of the Daily Practice > 3. Expected: the 2-minute Daily Practice opens directly > > iPhone 15, iOS 26. Started after yesterday's app update. Screen recording attached.
What happens next
You'll hear back within 24 hours, usually much sooner — with an answer, a workaround, or a question if we need more detail. Fixes ship in regular App Store updates, so keeping the app current is how you receive them. Clear reports with reproduction steps get fixed first, because they're the ones we can act on immediately.
Security and privacy issues
If you believe you've found a security or privacy problem, email support@tickets.samgit.com and mention security in the subject line so it gets picked up quickly. Please don't post the details publicly before we've had a chance to fix it.
Feature ideas welcome too
Not a bug, but something GapFix should do? Same address. Ideas from the community have a real influence on the roadmap.
